Dee Dee Impex is a family-owned fresh fruit import and distribution business based in Coimbatore, India, with a presence across key markets in South India.

Our roots in the fruit business go back more than 100 years. Long before the business established its base in South India, our family was involved in the fruit trade in Sindh, in the pre-Partition era. Over the generations, the family business evolved and eventually established its operations in India, building on the same values that have guided us from the beginning: quality, reliability, relationships and long-term trust.

Our journey in South India spans more than 75 years, making us part of a legacy that has grown alongside India's fresh produce industry.

Dee Dee Impex is a sister concern of Shri Balaji Agrii Fresh, formerly known as Mohanlal Doulathram. Together, the two businesses form an integrated family-run operation with expertise spanning international sourcing, imports, domestic procurement, storage, packing and distribution. The businesses are managed by members of the same family, allowing us to maintain close control over quality and operations at every stage.

Within the fresh produce industry, we are widely known as “MD Fruits - Coimbatore.”

OUR CHENNAI OPERATIONS

To support our import and distribution operations, Dee Dee Impex operates a dedicated branch at Anna Fruit Market, Chennai, one of the key fruit trading hubs in the region.

A significant portion of our imported cargo is received and handled through Chennai before being distributed to markets across South India.

Both our Coimbatore headquarters and Chennai branch are self-owned facilities, equipped with infrastructure including:

Temperature-controlled cool rooms

Storage facilities

Packing and handling areas

Staff and labour accommodation

Dedicated kitchen facilities

This infrastructure gives us greater control over the handling, storage and movement of fresh produce.

9 office staff · 15+ professional fruit re-packers · 20+ skilled labourers · 3 drivers

Our people are an integral part of our business. Their experience and understanding of fresh produce handling help us maintain consistency and efficiency throughout our operations.

BEYOND IMPORT & DISTRIBUTION

Our group's involvement in the fresh produce industry extends beyond trading and distribution.

We are also involved in agricultural cultivation, including a high-yielding farm supported by cool rooms and substantial storage infrastructure.

Alongside our core businesses, the family has long-term investments in real estate, including land parcels in and around Coimbatore.
